Shalom Suniula checks in post game one
The RWC experience so far has been breathtaking. The highlight of my week was being announced on the roster to play against Samoa. Being Samoan myself, this game had extra meaning to it. I have family back in Samoa sending me messages and pictures wearing USA gears showing their support for the Eagles. I tried to manage my composure warming up to the match, but things kicked in to gear real quick when the Samoan’s laid down the challenge with their war dance. It was great to shake the first game nerves off as we look to improve this week against Scotland.
We got firstclass tickets on the train up from Brighton to Leeds this week, It was a great way to travel and see the beautiful greenery of England. As we get ready for a new week we turn our focus onto Scotland, we hope to capitalize on Scotland’s four day turnaround after they play against Japan on Wednesday. On our day off, I’m looking to get involved with a few community outreaches and continue to grow awareness of our Sport.
