Atavus All-Stars Assemble To Take On The British Army

New Brunswick (June 2, 2016) – The Atavus All-Stars coaching staff has assembled 22 athletes from around the country to compete against the touring British Army side this weekend in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Led by Wil Snape, Women’s Junior All-Americans Head Coach, with the assistance of Assistant Collegiate All-American Coach James English and USA Rugby Elite Coach Katie Dowty.

“One of the main goals of the tour is to create a high performance environment for players to experience international conditions. Players will have the opportunity to represent their universities, club teams, and American rugby in a positive way by playing an exciting brand of rugby.” -Emilie Bydwell, Atavus Head of Rugby

The All-Stars roster is comprised of women selected from the official Junior All-American National All-Star competition combined with players from Atavus Rugby Academies and Camps. This British Army team has recently competed against the England U20 Women and boasts several fully capped internationals from Scotland, Wales, and England.

“I am thrilled by the players that we have brought together for this assembly. This is a young team many of whom have played for the Women’s Junior All-Americans and Collegiate All-Americans. All the players selected we believe have the potential to be full capped Eagles.” -Wil Snape, Women’s Junior All-Americans Head Coach

The Atavus All-Stars kick off against the British Army at 11:00 am EST at Scarlet Knights Club Field at Rutgers University. The match will not be streamed but you can follow the action live on Twitter.
