ICEF Players Stand Out at Serevi Los Angeles

Last weekend, the USA Rugby Academy, Powered by Serevi Rugby kicked off their 2014/2015 Training Camp Series in Los Angeles, The one day, high performance training camp welcomed 54 athletes from across Southern California. The camp was run in partnership with ICEF Rugby, a local LA club that functions to provide rugby to the inner city community as well as positive life opportunities such as an active lifestyle, discipline, teamwork, international travel and a college-going culture. 33 ICEF athletes attended the camp including camp stand outs Marjau Sauve, Jabari Zuberi, and Nia Toliver. Because of the partnership with SEREVI Rugby, these players along with the rest of the ICEF rugby program athletes were able to come participate in a high caliber camp, commonly hard to find or afford. ICEF Rugby Director, Stuart Krohn is committed to bringing the game to these students and expressed his gratitude,

“I love the aspect of bringing diverse communities together and having the camp sent a very positive message to our kids and program.”

Jabari Zuberi, 20

Before Attending Serevi Los Angeles, Santa Monica Super 1st Team standout, Jabari spent a full season at a rugby school in Christchurch, New Zealand and showcased his new experiences at camp.

Nia Toliver, 16

Nia, refered to as the Jonah Lomu of high school rugby, has played in England, France, and New Zealand has her sights set on Rio 2016.



After the conclusion of camp, Director of ICEF Rugby, Stuart Krohn expressed his gratitude and excitement:

“ICEF Rugby is fortunate and grateful to partner with Serevi. We are able to see the fruit of the labor these kids are producing. Let’s Keep the momentum going!”
