#10 SHOWDOWN AT THE SHORE

showdown at the shore
An unfortunately popular MTV series has made the Jersey Shore seem best appreciated from a far, but after a stellar debut in 2013, Monmouth Rugby Club is bringing back Showdown at the Shore to Thompson Park. The tournament hosted in the heart of the Jersey Shore, features brackets for Men and Women Premier, Men and Women Club, and High School Boys and Girls. Opposite the NY7s, Monmouth 7s is the unofficial kickoff to the Northeast Men’s and Women’s 7s Series and in its first year, it was recognized as one of the largest tournaments on the east coast with 500 athletes and over 1000 fans expected to attend. Players and fans can make a weekend of the event as the pitch is minutes away from the beaches and party scene the Jersey Shore is best known for.[/two_thirds_last]

#9 CAPE FEAR

cape fear
This is the largest two-day tournament in the Southeast and typically features some of the best competition in the country. More than 70 teams head down from around the world to compete across 6 divisions for both men and women. Odgen Park, where the tournament is played every year over July 4th weekend, is in the heart of a four mile long beach island in Wilmington, North Carolina. Before heading to the pitch, we suggest catching the sunrise at the beach.[/two_thirds_last]
